Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is a professional practitioner who manages and directs nursing care and technical support before, during and after procedures.  The Registered Nurse serves as a resource for patients, physicians, and technicians to contact when problems occur.

Physical Therapist

A physical therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing treatment of inpatients and outpatients with a wide variety of diagnoses utilizing specialized modalities and techniques in accordance with the Professional Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as established by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), Tenet, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) Department Policies and Procedures. Collaborates with inter-disciplinary and inter-departmental team to achieve goals and objectives for the provision of optimal patient care services.  These services include structured treatment, program implementation, related documentation, and communication.

Pharmacist

A Pharmacist reviews and assesses medication orders, contacts physicians, nurses and other caregivers to facilitate care.  A pharmacist assesses patient response to drug therapy and recommends changes or alternative therapy.  A pharmacist compounds and dispenses medication, provides drug related information, and supervises the work of support staff.
