Missouri law now requires hospitals to report infection rates.

  A recent report on KSDK compared hospital infection rates throughout the region. When comparing teaching hospitals across the state, Saint Louis University hospital did well compared to others in the area.  

The national rate is 3.6 for every 1,000 days a central IV line is in place.  Saint Louis University Hospital’s rating was 2.7.
