Athletes should not ignore sports injuries that cause swelling, numbness, intense pain or tenderness, stiffness and the loss of flexibility. These symptoms can mean the difference between a game ender and a season ender.
We understand that sports injuries are not planned. That is why the clinic is set up on a walk-in basis. No appointments are necessary. The clinic will be open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., starting August 29, through the end of November to accommodate the high school and college fall sports season.
The Saturday Sports Clinic is set up with student athletes in mind:
- A board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine will be evaluating the athletes. The sports medicine specialist will work closely with their primary care physicians and athletic training staff to ensure seamless treatment plans and a thorough recovery.
- Athletes will receive same-day imaging results on some of the most advanced imaging tools available in the St. Louis region. The Saturday Sports Clinic is home to a 3T MRI, a new Open MRI, a 64 slice PET/CT scanner, and of course x-ray services.
- The Saturday Sports Clinic is conveniently located on the ground floor of the West Pavilion, just off of the TenetCare parking lot.*
