Construction has begun at SLU Hospital on the first comprehensive outpatient bone marrow transplant center in the region. This will be the only bone marrow transplant center that can provide the patient the option to receive their bone marrow transplant predominantly in an outpatient setting, therefore avoiding a lengthy inpatient hospital stay.
