RN-Apherisis – Clinical Laboratory

Position summary:    The registered nurse performs therapeutic apheresis, blood collection procedures and administers blood products for adult and geriatric in-patients, out-patients and volunteer donors.  Integrates and connects the vision, value and goals of the organization into daily decisions, behaviors and actions. 

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

A)        EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

¨      Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

B)        LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

            Current Missouri license.

            Current CPR certification.

 C)        EXPERIENCE:

      Preference: Apheresis experience.

¨      Preference: Two years of medical/surgical nursing. 

¨      IV therapy and/or phlebotomy experience a plus.
