Adult Volunteers

Adult Volunteers – these generous individuals come to us from many different backgrounds. Some are homemakers, retirees, graduate students, some have full-time jobs.  But, they all have the same goal - to give service to their community.  Adult volunteers can choose from among:

  • Emergency Department – serve as a link between the ED staff and the patients and families in the waiting room
  • Patient and Visitor Relations – greet patients and visitors at the front doors, give directions, provide information and maps
  • Eucharistic Ministry – help distribute Holy Communion to Catholic patients
  • Nursing Floors – provide non-medical assistance to staff and patients
  • ICU Waiting Rooms – act as liaison between families and intensive care staff
  • ACE (Acute Care for the Elderly) – assist staff in providing activities and visitation for geriatric patients
  • Gift Shop – assist with shop operations, customer purchase, delivery of flowers, balloons and gifts to patients
  • Central Service – help staff process medical and surgical supplies
  • Volunteer Office – office management/clerical assistance, data entry, patient mail or receptionist.
