Classes for Trauma & Emergency Medicine 

Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS Provider, Refresher and Instructor)

This two-day provider course is designed to assist doctors in providing emergency care for the trauma patient. The concept of the “golden hour” emphasizes the urgency necessary for successful management of the injured patient. Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN)

This two-day course is taught concurrently with the Advanced Trauma Life Support course for physicians. ATCN skill stations are based on interactive hands-on, scenario-based approach to adult education. The ATLS Student manual accompanies the ATLS lectures. The ATCN course is under the auspices of the Society of Trauma Nurses (STN). Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)

Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)

This two-day course is designed to provide the RN with cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills. Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)

 This ten week (one day per week) course is designed to increase the competency of nurses caring for critically ill or injured patients.  It offers a comprehensive, didactic approach to addressing the kinematics of injuries, assessment, pathophysiology, diagnosis, intervention and evaluation of the trauma patient.
