What is the "Cheer Card" service?
Cheer Cards are designed to provide friends and family members a convenient way to send a quick message to patients at Saint Louis University Hospital when they can’t be there in person.
How can my family and friends utilize this service?
They may access Cheer Cards by logging onto our hospital web site at: Saint Louis University Hospital .
When are Cheer Cards delivered?
If marked to be hand delivered, Cheer Cares are delivered around 11:00 a.m. Monday through Friday.
We will check for new messages every weekday before 9:00 a.m. Cheer Cards received after 9:00 a.m. on weekdays will be distributed the following weekday morning. Cheer Cards received over the weekend will be delivered the following Monday morning. There may be delays in delivery for Cheer Cards received during holidays.
Cheer Cards received will not be delivered after the intended recipient has been discharged.
Can I send a response message?
The Cheer Cards service is set up only to receive patient messages. We cannot send outgoing replies.
Are the Cheer Card messages I send confidential?
All messages received are handled confidentially. Upon receipt, your message will be printed, placed in a sealed envelope and delivered directly to the patient's room.
Any type of communication or messages (e.g. emails conducting personal business, containing questionable content or business/vendor solicitations) will not be delivered and will be deleted from the message center.
