As a Level I Trauma Center, Saint Louis University Hospital -- certified as Level I in both Missouri and Illinois by the American College of Surgeons – treats more than 2,300 trauma cases annually, more than 100 emergency cases each day and more than 39,000 cases per year. To share program news with regional emergency medical services, we publish "Emergency Perspectives" to keep them up-to-date on advances at the hospital and news that may affect their careers.
