SLUCare specialists at Saint Louis University Hospital are trained to serve the needs of adults experiencing emotional or mental disorders. Psychiatric services are provided on an inpatient or outpatient basis.
· The Adult Inpatient Treatment Program offers patients a respite from overwhelming environmental stresses and allows professional staff to further evaluate and intensively treat disorders in an inpatient setting.
· The Geriatric Psychiatry Unit is a 10-bed acute inpatient diagnostic and treatment unit and partial hospitalization day program for older adults facing problems unique to their age group.
The Clinical Trials Unit provides high-quality services to facilitate the completion of various phases of clinical research. The Department of Psychiatry has conducted clinical trials in:
