According to a new report from the American Heart Association, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is the only hospital in the St. Louis region to earn their Get With the Guidelines (GWTG) Gold Plus performance award for treating patients with heart failure and stroke.
The Gold Plus award recognizes Saint Louis University Hospital for ensuring care that's consistent with the most up-to-date scientific guidelines.
Such efforts are reflected at SLU Hospital through the Mid-America Stroke Network and the Center for Comprehensive Cardiovascular Care (C4). Each program is very unique. The network was founded at SLU Hospital and is a collaborative network of 48 hospitals that shares knowledge, technology and expertise to deliver quality stroke care in the bi-state region. Meanwhile the C4 is established for its individualized approach to heart disease.
