Cystic fibrosis patient a “Marathon Man”

Mike Burke in today’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch

St. Charles native Mike Burke was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at 14-months-old and never let it slow him down. Now in his 40’s, Burke has competed in several marathons — including the Ironman — and will participate in the GO! St. Louis Marathon in April.

In a story in today’s St. Louis Post-Dispatch by reporter Harry Jackson, Burke talked about how he’s done it with help of SLUCare pulmonologist Ravi Nayak, MD at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
