February 19, 2015, ST. LOUIS - For almost 50 years, Irene Schmidt has been a rock of steadiness at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
But if they say all good things must come to an end, Schmidt has reached a point to call it a career. She recently announced her retirement from SLU Hospital.
“I’ve loved it here because of the people,” says Schmidt. “Everyone says it’s a SLU family and it’s true.”
