We had a great submission here on SLUSpecialist.com from Cheryl Shoffstall of Belleville, IL:
“My husband Jim had a kidney transplant four years ago. Since that time, he has been able to return to work saving lives as a paramedic for ARCH helicopter. Ironic that somebody gave him live, now he continues to save other’s lives.”
Cheryl also sent along two piictures she said are very important to her.
“One is Jim back at work — something he wouldn’t have been able to do — and the other is of him playing softball, something he returned to just a few months post transplant,” she said. “We had such an amazing experience at SLU.”
For more about Jim’s kidney transplant — made possible thanks to a living donation from a loved one — watch the above video.
Thanks for sending, Cheryl.
