Over 1,500 people attended the annual Mid America Transplant Candlelight Memorial last night at their offices at the Highlands.
The event remembers those who passed on the gift of life to those in need of organ transplant.
A big thank you to the SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital transplant coordinators who volunteered and to a few of our transplant recipients who played a part in the event.
Father Glenn Eftink delivered the opening prayer (you can find out more about Father Glenn here) while transplant recipients Jim Shoffstall and Deborah Smoot handed out roses to donor families.
