February 13, 2015, ST. LOUIS - We’re excited about a new construction project at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital - a new “hybrid catheterization lab” — slated to open in early 2015 that will allow SLUCare cardiac specialists to perform new, less-invasive procedures combining surgical and interventional procedures.
The 980-square foot room is another piece in the expansion of services provided by the hospital’s Center for Comprehensive Cardiovascular Care (C4) since its formation in 2012. Since then, cardiac patient admits are 31 percent and surgery volume has more than doubled through the addition of new faculty and new technology.
