Retrievable Stent Shows Promise in Stroke Therapy

March 2, 2015, ST. LOUIS - Four recent studies recently showed a new technology to treat stroke — a retrievable stent that physically removes clots from the brain - offers great promise for patients with larger strokes.

Using the stent, SLUCare interventional neurologist Randall Edgell, MD, and his team at Saint Louis University Hospital are able to physically remove a blood clot from the brain.
