I was Director of the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology from 1990-2010, I am the Co-Director of the Saint Louis University Liver Center, and over the last few years I have been Director of the Abdominal Transplant Program, a position that is still in evolution."

Throughout my medical career, I have worked at hospitals that have had a dedication to caring for those patients who may be disadvantaged. Thus, the presence of the hospital in the city results in our seeing many patients who are less fortunate and this is important to me. Further, I enjoy taking care of the complicated problems that I have the opportunity to see as a hepatology specialist. I feel that the academic environment at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital is superb and those of us who work here have an opportunity to provide high quality care for patients with complicated medical problems."
