Dr. Hui is inspiring. One can’t help feeling a true sense of awe in her accomplishments, although her demeanor with patients and colleagues is always relaxed and friendly.
After completing premedical studies at Columbia University, she attended medical school and completed a general surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She finished her cardiothoracic surgery residency at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Hui is also a graduate of The Juilliard School. She has performed as a solo violinist in Dallas, Taiwan, and Moscow. As a chamber musician, she has performed at Wigmore Hall in London and Alice Tully Hall in New York. Her orchestral experience includes a season as section violinist in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
