For Elise Reese, RN, SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital has been part of her life since she was five years old.
“My mom worked here and would bring me to the office,” says Reese. “It helped me build relationships with some employees I still have today.”
She says her favorite part of the job is one-on-one interactions with patients in a time of need.
“It’s important to have someone available to advocate for the patient and make sure we are making them as comfortable as possible,” says Reese. “If a patient sees one person dedicated to that they feel they are going to be taken care of.”
A native south St. Louisan, Reese and her husband Dustin are proud parents of their first son, Jack.
“I have a loyalty to SLU and love everybody I work with,” says Reese. “This place means a lot to me.”
