Endocrinology services offered by Saint Louis University Hospital and SLUCare physicians were ranked No. 26 in U.S.News & World Report’s "America’s Best Hospitals," 2001 edition.

SLUCare endocrinologists provide consultation and treatment services for problems of diabetes and associated complications, hypertension, hyperlipidemia or elevated cholesterol, bone and mineral metabolism including osteoporosis, pituitary, adrenal and thyroid dysfunction. Our specialists evaluate and treat disorders of sexual function, and we also offer specialized endocrine testing.

In collaboration with the Saint Louis University Department of Pathology, the SLU Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism offers fine needle aspiration biopsy of thyroid nodules. Clinical diabetes educators and nutritionists are available for patient education along with a program designed for visually impaired diabetics. Clinics for screening and management of diabetic foot problems, sexual dysfunction and a multidisciplinary obesity clinic are also available.
